THE WINES OF THE VALPOLICELLA ACCORDING TO PRODUCTION REGULATIONS
The regulations governing production of these wines dates to 1968, following which time several modifications were made. The most significant changes were: the elimination of Recioto with added alcohol and the recognition of the denomination "Amarone", which before 1968 was known as a type of Recioto, and called "Recioto Amarone" on its label.
